The king of an ancient land punishes criminals by offering them a choice of two doors. Behind one lies death in the form of a hungry tiger, behind the other is freedom in the form of a beautiful woman whom the criminal must immediately marry. When the king’s daughter falls in love with a man far below their social class, the king subjects the man to this trial by ordeal. To save her lover’s life, the princess finds out which door hides the tiger and which the woman. It is up to the princess to communicate the information to her beloved, but once she discovers the identity of the woman behind the second door, she finds herself torn. Will the princess save her beau? Which door will he choose: the lady or the tiger?
