Lyft is an American transportation company that began in San Francisco in 2012. It is a private company founded by Logan Green and John Zimmer and is based on peer- to- peer ride sharing, where persons who require a ride are linked to drivers. It is being used in more than 200 cities across the United States, consisting of Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
