Description

This eBook is written for teachers, librarians, administrators, support staff and parents who have an interest in mobile learning especially with the use of Apple's iPad tablet. It is not a "How-to" manual but simply a sharing in the hope of enabling more informed decisions regarding the use of your iPad in learning and teaching.

It is a sharing of Chris Smith's [Shamblesguru's] own iPad experiences, since first owning one back in May 2010, and a sharing of the one thousand four hundred Apps installed – most are related to learning and teaching, some are productivity tools, some communication, a few are life-style and entertainment ... and a very few are just plain silly.

One thousand four hundred sounds a lot but not when compared against the 700,000 Apps in the Apps Store of which over 275,000 are dedicated and custom designed for the iPad. The numbers are amazing - over 35 Billion Apps have been downloaded so far.

The ebook contains over 140 screenshots of the screens and folders, it highlights some  favourites. Each of the eleven Chapters, one per main screen, also includes a recorded audio commentary about some of the Apps and folders in that screen.

It is hoped that this illustrative archive of "Shamblesguru's iPad" will save you time and help enrich, even more, the learning experiences of you and your students.
