Description

For these five friends, taking the back road was a horrible idea.

Overview:
Rebecca Long is a college student at Tulane University. With school out and the summer heat and unbearable humidity swallowing New Orleans, Rebecca can't wait to join her friends on a road trip to Chicago for a rock concert.

Don't take a wrong turn...

While traveling a desolate highway in the Mississippi Delta on a slight detour, the group's car breaks down, and they find themselves stranded.

But when a man offers to assist them, the students find it's not always good to accept the help of strangers. Rebecca is knocked unconscious and wakes up tied to a wheelchair. It's dark, she's alone, and she has no idea where she is.

Then, the lights come on, and the game begins.

Now, Rebecca's only mission is simple: survive the night.

Perfect for any fan of slasher films such as Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and House of 1,000 Corpses.

What Readers Are Saying:
"This book brought back the best parts about the old slasher movies, but with a new twist and a great ending. This one will keep you guessing all the way to the very end." - J. Scott Sharp

"This story is gritty, visceral, and it takes you on one hell of memorable ride. The tale breathes new life into the classic slasher genre and carves out a very sadistic experience for the reader." - Jeremy Megargee

"This is my new favorite book! I could not put it down!" - Meghan Cowhan

Author Q&A:
Tell us about The Witness.
The Witness is my second book and was highly influenced by my love for the classic slasher films from the 70's and 80's. If you're a fan of the good ole days of campy slasher horror, brought to us by legends such as Wes Craven or John Carpenter, then I think you'll enjoy The Witness.

What can readers expect?
A high body count (laughs). The book has some pretty grotesque scenes without going too far over the edge. It's not 'torture porn.' The gory scenes have meaning and purpose, and the overall story is suspenseful.

Who is this book for?
As I mentioned before, this book was highly influenced by old school slasher horror. So, if you're a fan of Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes or The Devil's Rejects, then you'll enjoy The Witness.

***WARNING*** The Witness is meant for mature audiences only. It features some graphic descriptions of violence and death including cannibalism and torture. If you are not used to reading extreme horror or watching slasher films, this may not be the book for you. Please purchase at your own discretion.
